Today was our magical Leprechaun rock hunt.
I made our magical rocks a few days ago to make sure they had time to dry & to test them out. The instructions here worked perfectly!
Today started off with the Leprechaun hiding some of his magical rocks at our playground. We had kids ranging from 10 months to 7 years. I really enjoyed watching the kids work together, help each other find some, and cheer them on when they were found!
After all of the rocks were found we headed back to wash them in the magical solution. It was fun watching how excited they got as they watched the rocks bubble and then the bits of gold (chocolate coins) appear. It was also neat how the 7 year old could explain what was causing the bubbles. I could not have asked for a better result for this event!
