Photo Puzzle

This is the other gift I made for our friends who have recently moved away.  (They had an 8 hour flight,  so it was something they could play with).

Along with moving away from all of the people they knew,  they had to leave their dog.  (At least she got to go with family).  So I made them a little puzzle  (4×6) of their dog.   🙂

I own some computer printable jigsaw paper by Puzzle Clonzz. Here is an Amazon link.

Lenticular Gift

So some of our good friends are moving to Amsterdam,  tomorrow.  So I made them a couple little things for the plane ride & their new home.

This is something I learned about in a class I took and was glad for the chance to try it out.

This one is a Flip Lenticular.  You look at it one way & it is 1 picture,  then look at a different way (or tilt the picture)  and it changes to a different one.

DIY Wooly Willy: Attempt 2

So with some minor tweaks in mind I attempted my 2nd Wooly Willy.  It still did not come as clear as I was expecting.  And then,  even with all of my hot glue the iron filings are still leaking out.  So needless to say,  I love the concept,  but back to the drawing board.

Outside Painting

We looked up how to do Water Balloon Painting today.  After realizing we didn’t have some bottles that would make it easier,  we tried it anyway. (Will get the right stuff & try it again).  Then when we realized it was not going to work,  we grabbed the paint brushes & went to town.

I loved watching A & then S get in on the fun.   Even better was watching A grab bits of nature & see what happened when she painted with that.  (Leaves,  twigs,  sticks,  etc).

SKILLS: Fine Motor,  Sensory,  Painting,  Exploring,  Imagination, Nature.

DIY Wooly Willy: attempt 1.

So I have been inspired again to be crafty.  Some good friends are moving to Amsterdam soon so I decided to make a few gifts for the girls.

Tonight we (yes my hubby joined in on the fun) attempted to make our own custom wooly willy.  We learned a few things,  so tomorrow I will make a trip back to the craft store to buy new frames & then we should be in business.

Stay tuned for the final result & the other project!
