Loose Leaf Tea Sensory Play

A is always excited to play with certain things when S is napping.  Many days,  like today,  that involves some sort of sensory play.

After cleaning out our cupboards I realized we had a lot of tea that we do not like.  So that became our material for the day.

We started off with the tea and chop sticks and making patterns/ letters.  Which lead to burying the chop sticks.  Which then turned into scooping the tea and pouring it in & out of the bag.  Then finally it made it to the typical A question,  “what happens when we add water?”  So we did.   I love watching & listening to her line of thought & questions.
